About the event
Why 477 CZK? In 1548, the first glass factory in the Czech Kingdom was founded in the north, near Jablonec nad Nisou, by the German Vander family. This factory gained fame and brought glassmaking recognition to the region. That year also marks the beginning of the continuous glass melting process in Bohemia. Production has been steady, uninterrupted by wars or ownership changes. The year 2025 will mark its 477th anniversary!
